Kaufman: "Ignorance is not a sportswriting skill"

In this Salon column, King Kaufman is critical of a certain breed of sportswriters, the ones who know little about sabermetrics and tout their ignorance as a virtue.

    I'm a "hardcore" wanna be SABRmatrician. I've been studying server side programming. I think this means that I will be able to spider databases.
    High on my priority is getting in to the "clutch" hitter fray. I've posted to the Yahoo baseball databank group a question something like, "is Clutchieness" quantifiable?"
