World of Warcraft and the hot hand effect

David Friedman wonders about a "hot hand" effect in World of Warcraft. Is the apparent hot hand an illusion, as it seems to be in baseball and basketball? Or did the game's creators build a *real* hot hand effect into the software?

Friedman doesn't have an answer. He does suggest that a real hot hand would make the game more enjoyable, though.
